 Wolfs head sign real?

Picked up this sign and wondering if it is legit. Seems too nice and lots of dirt in the coating. Three small holes in top.
Any help would be great.

Looks like a clearcoat to me, and a thick one at that..
Wanted early tin litho signage.
petro, farm, auto, etc.

Question...is the sign under the clear coat original? I am wondering if that is what Dave was wanting to clarify?

Question...is the sign under the clear coat original? I am wondering if that is what Dave was wanting to clarify? Yes that's what I was looking for . The story I got from seller is he bought it 22 years ago from a person with a stack of them. It is in new old stock shape, but the coating makes me think it maybe a repop. Dave

I would not buy it just based on the clearcoat alone.
Drive with Care and Buy Sinclair!! I buy Sinclair globes, signs, cans, ect.

I picked up the sign and a nice banner. They will display well. The picture makes the clear look worse than it is.
