I went to an auction today that I thought was going to be a gold mine. A country store that was built in 1901 and still had a Wayne 615 sitting on the porch in its origninal location, lots of signs, an old blind pump which I know nothing about, and other items still in the store from when it closed 50 years ago. But to my dismay, everything went for way more than it was worth. I don't know what got into folks They went nuts. The Wayne 615 sold for $3500. I am knew at this but i thought $1200 would have been a fair price. So all I brought back was some good photos to share. Hope I can figure out how to get them on here.

at least you had fun. Auction prices are so unstable and too many people base their selling prices on "I saw one sell at auction for that price". Good luck with the hobby and you are going to love it

I would sell both my unrestored 615 Wayne's for that.
Hell I past up a Rush stove pipe this weekend that was in a about the same shape for $1100.00, but had a broken cylinder.
Before you start Emailing about it, she said she was going to put it on Ebay next week if it didn't sell. If it turns up on Ebay it needs all new skins, a cylinder, but all the cast pieces are there and unbroken.

Auctions are kind a funny on how much some things bring. Good Luck and have fun
