Thought I'd share this incase anyone was fixing up a fry visible pump
The brass tube is often cracked or at the least not very nice looking
I bought this 4 foot brass tube from (online metals) off the net. Was 100 bucks with shipping to my house
Only thing it don't have is the threads on one end. You can have that if wanted. I will not be adding them
Hope I can help someone out. As no one repops..this part

Prices on metals have sky-rocketed. I think the last time I bought it was via McMaster-Carr, been a long time though.

The brass measuring tube in my Fry 17 was nickel plated. There was not much plating left, but it was there. I have seen traces of nickel plating on other Fry measuring tubes.

Yeah, I have a vague memory of that too, it being nickel plated.

I can't tell if my tube had nickel plating. Or if it was so tarnished from bringing out in the weather for 100 years
I my self don't care for the nickel plating look

He's right about the nickel coating but I wouldn't sweat it, I've always used brass and it looks great.
