I picked this pump up yesterday.
I know it's not the best looking pump out there but its amazing to me the condition it's in for being almost 100 years old.

Just thought I'd share a couple pictures.

That looks great but my warning to you is be very careful moving it around. I had one of those fall on me a number of years ago and it broke both sides of my collar bone. It put me out of work for two months. Those are neat pumps but they are a beast to move especially on a gravel driveway!

Thanks Rob
I know exactly what you are talking about. It is a beast and I do have a gravel drive. I got it as close to my garage floor as I could with my tractor then slowly and carefully worked it in. I couldn't use a hand cart because I was concerned about tipping it over.
Definitely a top heavy pump.

Rob

I brought one of these home a few months ago. I'm a strong guy, but getting it back out of my wagon without help (and damaging things) was out of the question. Yes, I was VERY grateful for my neighbor the tree climber, who is "normal guy" sized, but is as strong as an ox. We got it out and upright without much trouble. I put felt on the bottom so I can slide it on the garage floor fairly easily if I need to move it.

Al,

Your pump came out great. I have an unrestored one and you have given me a new appreciate for it.
