I recently restored two Revere gas island lights, and both had tags that were completely rusted apart. It is impossible to find replacements, as no one removes good plates from the poles. With no other options, I went about having reproductions made.

The plates were originally embossed, and the cheapest quote I could get for a custom embossing die was nearly $2000. The next best alternative was to have the plates made by deep etching, which almost perfectly replicates embossing. It was still very expensive, but doable for a small batch. I had 15 made, and am selling the other 13 at my break even cost. These are the only embossed style reproduction Revere plates ever made, and there won’t be any more. They are perfect for restoring original poles whose tags did not survive the last 80 years.

They are identical in size to the original that was on my pole. The second photo has them overlayed.

1.675” tall
2.750” wide
2.375” hole spacing

All plates are sold, thanks for the interest and I’m glad I could help a few people complete the finer details of their Revere pole restorations!

Unfortunately they are all sold.

I had not planned on having any more made, but if enough people want them I will contact the maker to see if they will make another run. I would need to be able to order at least 10 to keep pricing the same.

Hi Roger,

The holes in my pole are right at under 3.3/8" below the welded seam, with the holes drilled in the "valleys" of the corrugated pipe. I would drill a hole in one of the valleys, line up the hole with the data plate (the ends of the tag will have to be bent to fit the corrugated pipe), and then mark and drill the other hole. The tag should be centered above the bottom wiring access hole.

Hi guys,

I've had a few people message me off an on since the first run sold out. If I can get enough interest, I'll have another run made.

Please post below if you are willing to commit to purchasing a tag.

Unfortunately, all sold quick before I saw the post.
Interested in a couple of the repo Revere ID plates if you decide to make some more.
