It is the 7th and the sign of the month will be Mobil Oil. This will include way back to Socony and Vacuum so the gargoyles will all be there as well as the flying horses. Anyone with any information as to when Socony Vacuum was bought out by Mobil or any topic associated with this please post the information for everyone to enjoy. Please try to give information to include porcelain, painted, tin, paper carboard and dimensions if possible. Lets make this a great sign of the month.
My first sign is a double sided porcelain flange sign 14x24 inches. I took this in trade for some work in my auto reapir shop. Tried to offer cash before that but they opted for repair work which actually was worth less. Go figure. Ted :

The Mobiloil trademark belonged to Vacuum Oil Company. Vacuum used the Gargoyle logo. Socony owned the pegasus logo. Socony and Vacuum merged in 1931.

Here are some of my signs from Vacuum oil Co and Mobil oil Co in Sweden.
First is a 47X31inch Gargoyle.

Second is a pretty rare sign from just after WW2, in the transition between Gargoyle and Pegasus.
Third sign is a 26X27 inch double sided flange.
.
Fourth sign is a smaller shield that is convex.
. Fifth sign is a tin sign from a car that participated in the Mobil economy run i Sweden in 1960. . Next is a German sign from a garage, markin the parking lots.
.

.
Next is a porcelain thermometer, also available in three sizes. This is 46X9 inches, the middle size.
