Can anyone tell me the time frame or years that these would have been used? It's a a 5 Gallon and has the marker inside

After my initial comment, I have noticed pictures of small town delivery trucks with these cans along the truck sides. The pictures were from the 40's and 50's. So, they were apparently used over a long period of time? Paul www.severngaspumps

Yeah, Some regional operations used small, multi tank trucks. They would carry coal oil for general stores. Most times this delivery was very small and no meter was used. The measuring cans sufficed. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

This is how "collecting" this stuff gets out of hand, GasUp!!! And, then there were two....and then there were four, and so on. Sometimes I'm certain my cans reproduce in the basement, once I turn the lights off. Enjoy yourself. John
