These first 5 are the shakers Tom posted in his first post. We have decided to post pictures of shakers for everyone to enjoy. Try not to post till we get a few pages up to view. Tom you can send some pictures to me or anyone else that would want to post pictures.

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

We as in Bill Fortune, Tom Paul, Robert Pritchard and myself are going to start posting shakers starting with the letter "A".

I'll start out with the "A"s. Agway is a farm cooperative still in business in New York State.

The Amlico is from the American Liberty Oil Co of Dallas, TX. The Amoco/American pair on red pumps is an unusual set. I know Tom has another set of Amoco on red pumps with different logos.

Three sets of Atlantic. The top ones are the Atlantic and the Atlantic Imperial sets. The bottom set is different in that the Atlantic Premium logo is on a red pump. I have also seen the Atlantic Imperial logo on a all white pump.

The last set of "A"s that I have is this set of Ashland with the speed letters logo. A set with Ashland in block letters also exists.

Looks like that was the end of the "A" so lets start the "B". I had a few of the "A" but since Bill posted his i won't post mine. We will try our best not to post duplicates... but notice when you think we posted a duplicate look real close and you will notice will be differant.

The last set I have is from the Butterbaugh Oil Company. I have shown the front and back as both fronts never had any logo other than the meter face. Not a great looking set but unusual.

Here is another set of Bays from Tom's collection. They are from same station as ones I posted before, so it is possible the paper Bay label on my set covers the heat stamped Bay name.

Here is the set of Bays on red pumps from Bob Pritchard.

These DX varations are the last "D"s I have to post. The set on the left has paper labels versus the previously posted decal set. The set on the right has the labels attached to a plastic pump door versus directly to the pump as previously posted.

Starting off the "E"s is one of the most common sets out there, Esso. In Canada the word Imperial is added above Esso on the box but the shakers are identical.

Hey JJ. Love the shaker posts.
Any idea or speculation as to whether those Frontier shakers are from Frontier in CO/WY or from Frontier NY?

Bob, there is no book dedicated to S&Ps. Several petro books picture 10 to 15 sets. There was a guide to S&Ps which Mark Cioni put together about 10 years ago. I helped him with many of the sets scanned for the guide. It is in b/w and provides scans of over 100 sets and info on rarity. I don't know if he still has them but there is some info provided on the oldgas site under "More resources for gas pump restoration".

Thanks wfort39663.
I suspected that they might be given the red color but the only Frontier CO I've seen have been the old logo ceramic ones.
I think the NY ones would most likely be done in blue.

Glad you are enjoying them. What people don't realize is that 1 or 2 on a shelf is ok but 60 or 160 together all in one area looks killer. I will post mine all together when we are done to show how they are displayed.

Starting the "G" now.

Some more Gulf. I have seen two of the white Gulf pumps and they were both peppers. It is possible that they came in a set with an orange pump. The Gulf Crest logo on this set is slightly larger than the one you normally see.

A rare single from Leonard. I have seen another set and the other pump is identical to this one. That is all the sets I know from "H,I,J,K and L" If anyone know of others let me know.

A set of "N"s has surfaced. This rare set is from Tom's collection.

Roger, None exist to the best of my knowledge. The sign pole thermometers exist in both old and new logos so it is possible that S&Ps were made as they were made in the same time period with the shakers starting a little earlier. Bill Fortune.

New collector Bob Richards sent me a photo of these Shell shakers. He said he was inspired to start collecting after viewing the photos on this site. New collectors are welcome but not too many until I find all the shakers I am looking for!! LOL !! More Shell to follow!!

[This message has been edited by wfort39663 (edited 05-02-2006).]

Some more Shell. Paper and decal labels are shown for both sets. The older logos on the white pumps are a little harder to find.

[This message has been edited by wfort39663 (edited 05-03-2006).]

A set of Shell without the TCP logo.
