Ted, Asked me to start this thread while he is on vacation this week. He has had outstanding participation in the first two that he has done so lets don't let him down. He has decided to go with Standard Oil and Chevron east & west and all affiliate brands also. Bob will you tell us what affiliate brands go with this because I don't know. Also please state what size the sign is and if it is porcelain, tin, cardboard etc...

If you need help posting a picture just send to anyone who posts regularly and they will post the picture for you.

Ted's fist sign is a 4ft single sided porcelain sign from Chevron...

The stations owned by Standard Oil Company of California operated under the name Standard Stations, Incoporated. Their dealers stations operated as Standard Oil Dealers or Chevron Dealers.

The affiliates are:
The California Company (Calso),
Stanavo,
Signal,
Standard Oil of Kentucky (Kyso).

Wanted: Gas pump globes:Sinclair & affiliates, IL companies. Ripple bodies. Anything Sinclair, Stoll, Pierce, 4 Bros.

Good Job Scott, Ted picked a good guy to carry the load for him.
Here's a few photos of some of my Standard Oil signs.

A Calso pump plate that someone clear coated.

a swinging Credit card sign.

Looks funny, but it's a "bull nose" Chevron Station sign. Some of these were neon, some were not. This sign, would have had two signs sandwiched together with a "can" in between them, and the "bull nose" on one end.

A nice Isovis double sided sign.

Great signs! Keep 'em coming!!!.......one thing though.......Since Ted instructed Scott to feature "Standard Oil and Chevron" I assume Ted wanted to feature Standard of California and Chevron. Lets not include Standard of Indiana or the other Standard companies right now. If we were to include all of the Standard companies and their affiliates there would literally be hundreds of companies and we wouldn't have much left for future SOTM features.

Here's the list of companies we'll feature this month:
Standard Oil Company of California
Standard Stations, Incoporated.
Standard Oil Dealers
Chevron Dealers.
The California Company (Calso),
Stanavo,
Signal,
Standard Oil of Kentucky (Kyso).

Thanks for your cooperation. I hope I'm not stepping on Ted's or Scott's toes. I just wanted to avoid a mess.

Thanks,
Bob

Hey you guys are doing great without me. Thanks Scott and Bob for the kick start. I will not be posting any of my Signal signs as I will be doing company of the Month on Signal on May 1 and Signal was purchased by Standard oil in 1947 and was soley independent before that but you will all get the low down on that. Here is a 22 inch porcelain double sided credit card sign. Keep them coming. Ted

I was told this may have been a door sign, but I'm not really sure. It's porcelain and measures 8 inches in diameter.
