TIME TO BREAK OUT AND DUST OFF THOSE CAMERAS AND SHOOT YOUR "BUYS OF THE WEEK!"
POST THEM HERE AND SHOW -OFF WHAT TREASURES YOU FOUND!

MINE IS OF COURSE FROM THE METRO-PETRO SHOW THIS MORNING.

THIS IS I BELIEVE A LATE 50'S OR EARLY 60'S N.O.S. 30" D/S METAL SCREEN PRINTED SIGN. IT'S NOT THE ONE FROM THE SHOW THAT IS SHOWN IN MY EARLIER COVERAGE POSTED @ $650! THIS ONE WAS MUCH MORE A BARGAIN!

I picked up 30-40 new images of the service stations in the area this past week (all free). Also some very old and nice photos of the Standard Oil bulk plant in Los Olivos, California.

Aside from that a few goodies from the Ventura Flea Market this morning. I like the Minute Man. The Poor Man wants Minute Man stuff so let me know what you have.

Thanks to Rod Van Pelt, I took delivery of my Tokheim 34 yesterday. Rod believes in "Helping the Hobby". Thanks also to "Gasoildude" and "Besgar" for your offers to help.

Here is my buy of the week. Got a real good deal on these... some times it feels good to get a deal. It makes up for paying to much for other stuff. LOL

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

I like that Flying A map rack Don. I have the maps but haven't found the rack yet!

I struck a deal with Dodogas this week for a pretty cool Coca-Cola sign. Having known DoDo for almost 10 years, and after negotiating with him on many deals, I can tell you that striking a deal on anything is harder than negotiating peace in the middle east LOL. I earned this one!

Hey everybody.

I've been busy lately and not bought much. But I mangaged to score this 'Shoebox' Globe base off of e-bay. I received it last week. It was broken (I bought it that way) so I had my local Detroit Edison welder put the two peices back together for me. (Thanks Chris!) I'd never seen one before and the guy I bought it from had a couple that fit different pumps.

This specifically fits the Tokheim 39 - which is what it is sitting on in the one shot. Thanks to an Oldgas member, I now know how it holds the glass body on and how to make it attach to my pump. Now I jus' gotta find a globe . . .

Later . . .

Jim

Look at the three signs that Rex bought me for my sewing room!!! He's so nice. What a surprise. We hung them up today.

Rex said that this is the only wood grained porcelain sign that he has seen. It is made by Ingram Richardson.

Coats and Clark 26" SSP sign.

Rex got a Standard lens. He said that it is a TEST lens that Standard Oil of NJ was deciding whether to use a blue or red Standard. They decided to go with the blue colored Standard so this red lens is HTF.

Thanks Nita

"Note that I gave only $10.00 for the 4 cans. Thanks a lot. Brad Ralston---
The pickup is a 52 Chevy 5 window pickup."

Brad, put me in your will for that Zephyr Outboard!

Hi Doc,

Here's what I picked up the last couple of weeks.  The stove is different from my normal collecting, but it's a beauty.
