Hello Forum.

Just to introduce myself to this group, My name is Russell Smalley based in the UK, wont tell you my age, thats a secret but a little clue id that I am a professional repairer or Automotive instruments and have been doing that work for almost 50 years, having completed my apprenticeship with Smiths Industries in the 1970s. I now own and Run my own business Chronometric Instrument services in Nottingham. I started collecting Vintage Automotive Signs in the late 1980s and have quite a good collection. I recently purchased a Very large Mobiloil Enamel sign in the form of a 3d Oil can, from a very reputable UK auction house who catalogued it as Original Early 20thc, but I'm a little concerned as to wether or not it is Genuine.. Not quite sure how to add an image to this Post but hopefully I have done it correctly, if anyone can advise on Mobiloil signage that would be very much appreciated..Thank you for reading this post..

Thank you very much for your reply.
Whilst the sign looks to be genuine what gives me the most concern is the wording to the right side of the Can (Refuse This Can if the Seal BE Broken) the word BE seems to be poor Grammar
!, other ecxamples I have seen over the years read (Refuse This Can If The Seal IS Broken)
