This month marks the end of the second full year of Globe Of The Month. I want to thank all those that have contributed to make this the longest continuously running feature in the Showcase forum. Without you, these features wouldn't be possible.
This month we're going to feature any globe from Shell.

Bring 'em on!
Bob

Thanks for posting those globes Gary and Ron.Do you have any info on the non-US globes?

The 12 1/2" 3pc. Shell dates from the 40's and 50's.
The plain globe that is etched Shell is from the 1920's.
The Super Shell Ethyl clam was used throughout the 30's.
The familiar Shell clam was used from 1925-57.

The very rare Shell Green Streak is from the collection of Russ Jacobs.

Shell used this globe in the 1930's in their west coast operations.
Thanks Russ!

Anyone have other metal body Shell globes they can post?

Good one Rex.
The non-lettered clam was the Silver Shell grade in the 30's I believe.
Thanks,it takes a lot of time. Happy to do it.
Bob

Awesome globes Vern and Lance!
Those are 3 rare globes from the 1920's.
Thanks for posting. Sharing your pictures is a great way to help the hobby. The more globes (or signs or cans, etc) that get posted, the more we can learn about the history of the things we collect.

Another globe from England is this early 30's "Sealed Shell" globe,it has a slight mauve tint to the glass.as with most British globes it has "the poperty of Shellmex-BP" on the inside of the neck and was made in Sweden.

Here's one I'm still looking for,Shellmex from 1939,I have a "BP" version which I will post in the future.

Bob, I've never seen that yellow version before. Possibly used on the building itself? Cool globe anyway. That "Dry 400 Aviatin" globe! That's one to kill for. Wish I could get my hand on one of those! Of course the Euro globes are always outstanding. They have a certain style all their own.
