Ok, here's a question I have. What is the difference between the model 17 and model 117? I always thought the #17 was a five gallon pump and the #117 was 10gal. but I've seen some 10gal pump listed at #117's What's the truth? ------------------ Don "oltoydoc" Sherwood Vintage Gas

Don, The 17 is 5gal, the 117 is 10gal. Some 17's were converted to 10gal without changing the ID tag. But are easly changed back by taking the 10gal. ring off and changing the pipes, rods, elect. conduit an top bonnet. [All 17-10gal. that I've seen did not have the gallon stops inside the door].
dodogas, Are you refering to the AERO JR that just sold on ebay? Don didn't get it, it went to a friend of mine in Arizona.

It was a Boyle-Dayton pre-visible with a Air cylinder attachment on top of the rack, it was red-white-blue and came out of a mansion in LA. It sold in the last week, i thought the buyers name was Don's.. not positive though. A friend of mine showed me his uncles station in Vancouver in the 20,s had pumps like that in the pic. What is an Aero JR?? this pump i was mentioning is as tall or taller than a visible...dodogas

dodogas, It was oldpumpdoc. Pump is pictured on pg.127 top center of Jack's book. I bid on it, but already have one with a globe holder, and sold 2 at Iowa Gas a few years ago. Dick

Thanks Dick for the info. That makes it clear for me. Dodo, Yes, I bid on the pump, but as my bid wasn't high enough it didn't even register as a bid. No, I didn't buy it, yes, it was in my back yard, No I didn't want it as bad as Dick's Friend. The last two pumps I've gotten, I've shared. The Wayne 60 and the Fry 117. Hey, not too shabby! ------------------ Don "oltoydoc" Sherwood Vintage Gas

Speaking of a Fry 17 or 117--- I need one of the cast pieces inside the skins (about 1/2 the way down)that holds the 3 pipes together and then the skins bolt to. I hope that makes sense. Does anybody have one? I also could use 2 nice stuffing/packing nuts. Thanks in advance.
