I have an acquaintance that is interested in selling what I believe is a Rapidayton 400 visible. It's unrestored, missing the glass cylinder, but everything else seems to be intact. This would be my first visible pump and I'm not sure what I should expect to pay. The interweb seems to indicate that an unrestored Model 400 should sell for somewhere between $750 and $1000. Is this accurate? Is there anything I should be specifically looking for. I'm pretty familiar with later electric pumps but a real novice with the visible pumps. Any advice would be appreciated.
