Hi there folks,
I inherited this 48" Sinclair sign when my dad passed a few years back. I've always thought it was neat and wanted to display it, but my garage is too small and I don't really have any connection to Sinclair. I'm not a sign collector so could you folks please tell me what I have. I don't know what era its from, what to call it or anything. I know it has value but I'm clueless on what to look for to evaluate it.
Thank you in advance for any help
Eddie

Per Wayne Henderson & Scott Benjamin's Guide To Gasoline Logos the H-C logo was in use between 1926 and 1959.

Does this sign have any particular style name or anything like that? Is it something that I should rinse with soap and water to clean up a little?

this is how your sign was originally displayed at station, use a little soap and water - then get some bar keepers friend to remove the rust from porcelain.. ...

found at lowes or home depot - hit where the rust is in the porcelain, don't do the whole sign as this will take the luster off the porcelain.. ...

Hi folks, Thank you for the replies, I appreciate it! Is cleaning cleaning it up a bit before sale generally a good thing or do most collectors prefer it to just be left alone? I have some Bar Keepers Friend in the garage and can hit the rust spots.

Hopefully, you'll set a price for your sign, and then offer it for sale here on Old Gas. No eBay selling commissions if you do that. John
