Hey guys,

I got an old RPM oil rack from Rex's auction this Friday. It came with 14 RPM cans, some shabby. The rack was bent up and dirty, with marker writing on the sign.

Here it is as purchased:

So, today I took it completely apart. I wrapped the can support rods in electrical tape to keep the backs of my cans from getting scratched. I polished and waxed the sign, getting the marker off. I then straightened out all of the pieces of aluminum tubing and cleaned everything.

I used sandpaper to restore the "grain" on the cross rods. This is kindof a preliminary resto - I'll spend even more time on it later.

Here it is after reassembly (ignore the world's ugliest lamp):

And now, here it is with the majority of my quart cans displayed on it. I think it was quite an improvement

You didnt waste any time, I just unloaded the stuff I picked up at the auction and you got yours ready to display.

P.S. I like the rack much more than the lamp

Hey thanks guys

Ken,
Believe it or not I've nver found a DX quart can for a reasonable price in all my searching. I do have a separate display of Diamond DX and Diamond 760 stuff though... Always looking for a good DX quart...

I'll put you in my will then for a few cans, along with some tablelamps. Anyway, nice rack (never thought I'd say those words to a guy!).
