well i finally got this thing done.gonna get this one in the house! okay,should the spring be at the meter or the chuck?

Looks great, Mick....did you chrome or polish the housing frame? That is where I would have put the spring.

mick it's just been polished.doug spring on hose to keep from kinking,wasnt sure which end was which

Absolutely Beautiful Mick!!!
I believe the spring is designed to prevent the hose from kinking at the stress points (at the chuck end and where it connects to the meter). I have springs at both ends. If you only have one spring then it would be proper to put it where you think the most stress would be. OK, where you think it looks best.

The spring was originally on the end next to the frame not the chuck. I have NOS hoses (1950's) from Eco that way so that's how I make mine.
