Sharing these pictures from Lenny in Australia.
Here are a few pictures of my Rapidayton Gas Pump. Thought you might like to share some of these photo`s with some of your members, some of which may be able to share some hints on restoring it. I guess any parts for these pumps would be very hard to find, I can do most of the repairs myself but if anyone you know who has any spares I would be grateful. The pump does differ from the examples shown in Jack Sim`s book on p130 so if anyone can help in identifying it , this would also be a help. ( Top of pump is different, base is slightly different too.) Clock face is different but this could have been done here in New Zealand to suit our standards. I have included a photo to show you a clock face which you can see is a "Power Chief. I am restoring this pump to a "Texaco" and that is what we called the fuel down here(Think you called the fuel "Sky Chief") same in Australia. Think I can get a reproduction Globe and metal gas pump signs off E-bay. Hope these photo`s get through to you and will look forward to any "Shoptalk" Thanks for allowing me to talk about the pump, this is an awesome site Jim. Lenny from "Downunder"
