This picture was taken in Baltimore, Md back in the 1930s. Why would a dealer sell so many different brands of fuel? Nowadays this would be a fabulous--and expensive display! EJC

Thanks, Evan for sharing that image. I think I did have a dream that I was at a station a lot like that.

I think the dealer was one of the first Globe & Pump collectors.Ten pumps & one U/G tank.LOL Rex

You know, that is possible--the owner of this garage liked the look of clockface gas pumps and started accumulating them. Back then they were probably either super cheap or free for the hauling when a station upgraded to computer pumps!

He must have been a collecter that picture is from 1964!! I guess you could call him a fiercely independent station owner!! I bet his kids were drowned in a pile of give-away premiums..LOL...dodogas
