just a note to let you know about the 3M paint system.i've been using it for a year now and think its the best thing since sliced bread.the cool part is you can paint with your gun upside down, sideways or any way you want and the clean up is as simple as a few squirts of laquer thinner from a little bottle.also if you use any paint such as dupont chroma base you can mix the paint up and if you don't use it all they have little plugs you cap it off with and keep it for later use.try it i think you will like it

total cost was around $100,but the savings in thinner will pay for it easy

We've been using the 3M PPS disposable paint cups for years at work. We have found that it takes less time and less thinner to clean up after each use. That means less hazardous waste material to deal with also. So total cost of the PPS system has to be figured with savings in less thinner and less waste hauling fees. In our shop, the 3M PPS system pays for itself.

We have also found that the cups don't seal as well as cans, so long term storage in them is not a good idea. A few days is OK in most cases, or longer if you keep the disposable liner in the hard cup with the threaded ring on tight.
