Hey Guys 'n Gals!
So, it's time to share the petro relics that we've stumbled across in our recent travels, and check out what other people have found as well.
If you would like to contribute to this feature, simply post the pictures here or email them directly to me and I will post them for you. Be sure to include a story or description with your subissions.
If it's too close to the next installment, please note that I may hold your contribution for posting when the new FATW comes up on the 5th day of each month. Send 'em in!!
Happy trails!
Wes

Let's start things off with some Sinclair pictures... Tara got really excited when she spotted this bulk plant / office in Missouri. The place is still in operation, and the lady inside gave Tara a neat little Sinclair flashlight keychain.

Note the credit cards sign... It sure looks like it's an older sign, painted over... [This message has been edited by thermactor (edited 02-05-2007).]

Neat air/water pole still intact, but unused... Here's a cool oil delivery truck we spotted: Tara was very happy to see that Sinclair is alive and well in Missouri...

Check out this thing! I THINK it's an island light... Here's why I think that... The Conoco sign looks to be in great shape. Here's a Bowser square visible in an antique store. A Mexican version??

Seeing those plastic Sincliar signs remimded me of a plastic Sinclair pole sign about 20 min from me that has been painted over. I will have to make a trip and see if I can get it. Forgot about it!! Thanks..

Wes, I have been enjoying this thread for awhile now. There are so many things around us that until it is called to our attention we don not appreciate it. Here is an old Socony Warehouse

Old station converted into a physical therapy office not far away from Soulsbyville, CA. I wonder if the pumps were original to the station... Gas station converted into a convinience store/newstand in Santa Cruz, CA. [This message has been edited by badgas (edited 02-11-2007).]
