I have been meaning to post a few pictures of the gas station I built in my backyard. I know there have been more elaborate ones posted on here, but I thought you all might enjoy mine too. P.S if any old gassers ever get up my way stop in and we will sit on the front porch! I still have not mastered the art of adding multiple pics in one post so check out the next few posts for pictures of the insides. Thanks, daryl

Looks great Daryl! Gives me a few ideas! If you're anything like the rest of us, it'd be great to see how much stuff is in there in another year!

Daryl, looks great. The 6v battery, is that the real deal or a display? Been trying to locate a display for a couple of months. How big is your backyard station?

Daryl, Great setup, I especially like the cash register. It's a little early, but I'm starting a new "Garage addiction" web site. How would you like to be included? I haven't got the final version complete yet, but here's a sneak preview or Beta version. http://www.garageaddiction.com/ Rod

Thanks for the nice comments! The building is actually an old cottage that dates to the 1930s. It measures 10 x 12 I moved it to my backyard and added the porch and window and finished the interior with tounge and groove pine. I have been having a great time finding things to put inside, once I find a better item than I have I replace it. I must admit although I do live in a rural area that has not protected me from thieves. About 3 years ago I was robbed of about $1000 worth of stuff, I think I know who did it and I have not been hit since. The battery on the display is actually just a 6 volt battery that I cut the top off and gutted then glued the top back on. I have been looking as well for a better example. Thats what I like about the hobby "the thrill of the hunt". I am surprised I have not had a comment on the Quaker State sign outside. While walking through the woods I stumbled across the lights and pole, I dont have a clue what sign was supposed to be there so I just bought an old tombstone Quaker State sign and it fits perfectly. Also all the signs and pump are on a timer so the lights come on at night. I like the sound of being included in your web site garage addiction, let me know what you need. Daryl

Daryl: Very impressive. Thanks for sharing. Gives me some great ideas for my station.
Rod: I like your garage addiction website. I hope that everybody on old gas that built their own, sends you their pictures. Keep us posted. When you get your new website completed, post a new topic so that everyone can post photos of their stations. Larry
