Thanks for posting that Scott. This is my one and only thermometer. I picked it up to use in my snake room, I thought it would be better than one from walmart!
Does anyone know anything about it? When it would have been made? value?

This is an old and original wood thermometer advertising "General Petroleum" It's like mint condition. I found it at some La de da antique show that my wife drug me to. You know the type. Lot's of crystal bowls, fancy jewelry, and over priced furniture.

Here is a "Havoline Tower" thermometer. It's from the 1933-34 Worlds fair in Chicago. Made of Cast iron. Wonderful "Art Deco" design.
