The first is my 79 Vespa, a wonderful machine,Next was a 1945 Cushman Pacemaker like my dad started me on when I was 10. Worked great for my large paper route,165 papers a day. Next: [IMG] [URL=http://www.imag...03913cy.jpg"> [This message has been edited by BudE (edited 07-17-2005).]

Next,my green '48 Cushman Airbourne, you know, we won the war and every kid around where I grew up really wanted one of these! Next is a 1946 American Moto-Scoot. Pretty rare by now, made in Chicago. The Green and white bike is a 53 Columbia, then a pair of Whizzers. [This message has been edited by BudE (edited 07-17-2005).]

Yes DoDoGas, it's an H and a J. They both run great, everything I showed I ride once in a while. I have a brand new Doodlebug {repop}. I bought it because it looks so nice. When I was a small boy my dad took me with him to our Western Tire Auto Store. They sold Doodlebugs for about 140.00 then. I always thought they were the smallest scoot made, then I went to the VMBC meet in Portland a few years ago and saw a Scat Kitty. That's REALLY tiny! I have a Whizzer motor stamped with apparently a factory serial number EX-100. It has a ground cam and a racing(Weber) head. Nobody has a good answer for the odd serial. I got it from a friend who was employeed at a Chicago bike shop and the owner gave it to him when he worked there almost 60 years ago. He had it all this time.
