HELLO AND GOOD EVENING FELLOW PETRO MANIACS AND COLLECTORS ALIKE!

IT'S SUNDAY NIGHT AND YOU ALL KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS, EH?

"BUYS OF THE WEEK!" YES, TIME TO SHOW US THE BUYS YOU'VE MADE IN THE PAST WEEK....AND THIS THREAD HAS BEEN WEAK! HOPING SOME OF YOU MADE SOME NICE SCORES AT THE MASS GAS BASH TODAY AND WILL SHARE WITH THE REST OF US!

LEAVING OUT AN AWESOME L.I. POSTCARD FIND WHICH WOULD ONLY BE EXCITING TO ME....I PICKED UP THIS BLACK BEAR CAN, LOCAL MILK BOTTLE AND WHISTLE SODA BOTTLE AT A SEMI-LOCAL YARDSALE THIS MORNING.....IT AIN'T MUCH BUT IT'S SOMETHING! THE PORCELAIN PHONE SIGN STILL ATTACHED TO THE CEMENT POLE WAS SOMETHING A FRIEND FOUND IN HIS TRAVELS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. IT WAS KNOCKED OVER AND FACE DOWN AND CURIOSITY MADE HIM FLIP IT OVER, BRING IT TO MY PLACE AND PLANT IT IN MY GARDEN!

THANKS!

I am new to this so we will see how this goes. I have had the priviledge of cleaning out the shed of a family friend that recently moved on and found several treasures. Among them are a full quart can of Royal Triton SAE 30 Oil and an old 2 1/2 gallon Gas Can made by the Edwards Can company of Chicago 31, Ill. I know that they are good finds but I don't know how good or how to find out anything about them and their values. I will be eager to hear from you collector pros!!!

Phil

I picked up a couple things last week, first was this mint cylinder for a Twin Canadian Visible, note etchings on 3 sides, very hard to find, and this one still has the original numbers.

Second was this Hayes Cash Recorder. I have been trying to buy this pump for 8 years, every time I go past the guys place in Clear Lake Iowa I stop in, and its never for sale. This time he wasn't home but the wife was, and said she new he was willing to let it go, and she thought he'd said $500, so I paid her as quick as I could, got it loaded and got out of Dodge! I think she had her eye on something shiny at the mall that cost $500, not sure how he'll feel about the deal!

I bought a beer sign off of ebay. No idea what it is worth but this one is in very good condition.

I didn't buy it this week but I did get it framed and hung up this week. The newest addition to the kitchen wall is the top center one. I like the tin signs but some of them do not have holes to hang them so I went with frames.
