Thanks guys. I'm really happy with how it turned out. A friend of mine who usually does the body and paint work broke his arm riding a 4-wheeler. He called me 2 days after I brought all of the parts to his house and said that he wouldn't be able to do anything for at least 8 weeks. I offered to do the bodywork under his supervision. I'd never done bodywork, but I picked up on it pretty quickly. I was at his house every night from 6 pm to midnight and weekends for almost 3 months. I have a true appreciation for anyone who does body and paint work. I had no idea how much time you can spend trying to get something bodied out, painted, cleared, wetsanded, etc. I had a great time learning from him and can't wait to get started on another pump.

My girlfriend wasn't real pleased about it, but after she saw it together she understood why I was so excited about it. She said she thinks it's pretty cool. I catch her looking at it from time to time.

I'm still in need of a correct nozzle for it. If anyone out there has a nice one they'd want to sell, shoot me an email.

Thanks
Mac

Mac - the pump looks great!

As you learned - quality takes time. If you don't spend the time on the work under the paint, the paint won't look good no matter how much you paid for it.

But it seems like you enjoyed the process. I sure do - it's kinda relaxing to just work on something with no real set deadline. (But next time - take the girlfriend out a couple of times during the process! )

Keep up the good work!

Later . . .

Jim
