Probably the Dec. issue came out a little late, I usually get mine by 1st class mail but it hasn't arrived yet. Jerry puts these together by himself and with the holidays he is probably running a little late. I didn't write an article for this one because I was swamped myself.

If I remember correctly.....doesn't CTO come out bi-monthly? That would explain no issue for Dec?

Woo hoo it arrived today! That picture on the back cover is worth a years subscription by itself. I just stared and stared at it for about 20 minutes. Tip of the hat to our man in frozen Portland, H.Earl Clack.

Rob,
Come on over, you can read mine. It only takes about 15-20 minutes to read, then we wait 2 months for the next issue.

That is the light bar that I have, for a long time i could not figure what jars went on there. So I made billet jar holders to take available jars. Them I got a Tok 36 and found the lights in them fit, but the one I had , used one straight jar with rounded end, the other jar was bigger near the end a bit like a lightbulb.
Then once I had someone put a pic of my lightbar(not on the pump) on Oldgas, asking if anyone had info or jars for them. The only person that seemed to know what it was was T-Bone, he had seen one on a B-D at an airport.
Then Toydoc put the globe-holder part without the arms on ebay , called it a Fry holder, I got outbid on it.
Sounds like they are unobtanium, if someone can cast them, I can machine and finish them up...if there was a demand. The jar holder are formed tin, probably have to use a different jar.
thanks to Dick Bennett for sending me the pic and posting it..dodogas

Dodogas:

Here are a couple of images I posted a while back that show a light bar assembly. Since I haven't received my CTO yet - I can't tell how much of the bar assembly you can see on that picture - but this is the unit I think you are talking about.

Later . . .

Jim

I still haven't received my copy of CTO, however, I did get a reminder in the mail today, that my subscription expires in March. Now if they delivered the magazine as timely as they did the bill, I'd be happy !

Got my "Check the Oil!" magazine today. Those who don't subcribe to CTO and/or Petroleum Collectibles Monthly are really missing something. Both are an important part of the information network of our hobby. Both offer one issue trial deals. To see more about both of them see the Oldgas.com Petroliana Web Directory, Publications .

Hope everyone got their CTO or they SOL..Sorta Outa Luck!!!

I got an email from a fellow in LA, that has a Wayne 83 (Boyle-Dayton) with this light bar but the Wayne version is a bit different. Also sent a pic of a BD with the lightbar on it, Thanks..knew there had to be some out there!

Now I will ask, anyone had a Boyle-Dayton visible with a factory globe mount without the side lightbars?? And was that globe-holder Tall with tapped holes in the side or short??. The factory holder should be dished on the bottom as the globe dome is not flat at the peak. Any info , lets hear it, Thanks...dodogas
