This month we'll feature globes from Tidewater,Flying A and their affiliates. This should give us over 90 choices.

We're looking for globes from:
Tidewater (Tydol, Tidex)
Associated (Flying A)
Seaside
Mohawk
Tidal
Northwestern Oil Company (from Wisconsin)

I don't have any globes from these companies so you guys are going to have to step up and post yours.
Bob

Dick,
Ad glass would be fine. It would be great if you could show the ad glass along with the globe it would have been used with.

I know its a busy time of year for everyone, but I hope you guys can find time to post a few globes. I know for sure that 3 oldgas members could post 15-20 globes from our featured companies between them. Lets get those globes posted. I'd hate to have to go buy globes just to post them here. (actually that would upset my wife, not me!)

Here's a couple of globes for this post. I had to include the National A38 in Flying "A" green porcelain with original add glass. The neon sign is original porcelain with neon added. I found it at Iowa last year.

Doc's rare "Flying A Associated Areo Type Gasoline" globe is from Associated Oil Company. They were from California. It dates from '32-'33.

The "Tydol" globe is from Tidewater Oil Company. NY,NY. This globe was used from 1925-'41.

John's "Tydol Ethyl" globe is from the late 40's. Note that this example is a regular 3 piece globe. This version is usually found on a gill body.

Thanks for posting these great globes!(the neon ain't bad either)

Paul sent this picture in.
The "Flying A Gasoline" is from 40-46;
The "Associated Aviation Ethyl" is from 32-40;
Then we have another "Flying A Aero Type Gasoline" from the 1930's;
"Tydol" dates from '25-'41.
Great globes! Thanks for sharing.
Bob

Here are a few more that were emailed to me.
The top lens dates from 1915-'32. The bottom one from '30-'32.

Thanks for sharing these great globes.

Anyone have some cast lens Tydol globes they can post? How about some "shoebox" globes?
Bob
