HERE'S A BIG OLD CALSO SIGN PROBABLY FROM THE LATE 40'S AND 5' SQUARE THAT I WON ON EBAY A WEEK AGO AND PICKED UP ON FRIDAY IN PAWTUCKET, R.I. THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND TRAFFIC WAS VERY KIND...LOL!!

HERE'S ONE SIDE (THE BETTER....)

AND THE OTHER SIDE (A NIGHTMARE....)

I SAY NIGHTMARE SINCE I DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT (BESIDES SOME PAINT) IS ON THE SURFACE OF THE SIGN...LOKS LIKE CEMENT AND BONDO....BUT COULD BE ANYTHING. I THINK I'LL START WITH A TORCH...LOL!

NOW IT'S YOUR TURN, LET'S SEE YOUR BUYS OF THE WEEK!

THANKS!

Here is a Zephyr Gas pocket map, a little bigger than credit card size when folded. When opened, it unfolds like a pop-up book with a 1959 map of St. Louis, my home town.

A Wyro Auto-Lac can. A wipe-on clear lacquer for renewing car finishes.

A General Gesyn auto enamel can. Instructions included to apply by spray or brush.

Tom, nice globes!!! Shot you an email, did you get it?

Here's a few things we dragged home this past week.

The Tok 39 and lubester from same source as well as a original chest Coke cooler. Couldn't pass it up. It pays to answer classified ads.

Close up of the globe body. Turned out to be an original wide body glass body in fantastic shape.

Large Texaco "T"

And finally dragged this old engine out of a barn. HUGE. Can anyone guess what it came out of? Actually this is it still in the barn. That was an adventure!

Wow, can't work image shack tonight, that should do it..........

I didn't purchase this but had to show it off.

Wanted to bring this home, but couldn't swing it. 47 Ford, with a 331? Hemi, dual fours. WOW. Ford with a hemi, cool.

My daughter loved it........

Chris asked me to post this for him. It's the 'junk pile' freebie pump he got a couple of weeks ago.

It's a sweet pump - especially for free.

Later . . .

Jim

that engine is a Franklin air cooled ...

a friend is partial to them ( and has owned several) says in is mid-20's

he is also of the opinion that the value is not great, a "few hundred dollars" so he says ... apparently the whole cars are not worth that much either ... he bought an older restoration a couple of years ago off ebay for $7700 ... a close coupled coupe to boot
