Dave Kois (Vintage-motorworks) sent me some photos from his booth at Barrett-Jackson. Dave specializes in "REPRODUCTION" fantasy pumps and restored originals. (That reproduction was for Jarvis, just seeing the word makes him sweat.) Here's Dave stuff. On the far right is the Butler pump I traded him awhile back. Looks nice put together as a Veedol (Probably "REPRODUCTION" globes). ------------------ C Cragg www.poormansmuseum.com

Geeeeeeeeeeeez KMANN, you sure are grumpy. Go put on that propeller hat and spin out all that tension.
Looks like you got it worse than Jarvis. Lets do a test.

You've got the propeller spinning the wrong way.
Reverse, reverse, reverse!

What the ---- how did i become the repop police? You guys that like repop's... remember the 13.5 were $89 and now are $69 so those doesn't look like a good investment to me. LOL
Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

Jarvis, I've got some I'll sell you right now for $49.00.
Oh no wait, that was Doc on the other line, he needs some more table lamps and he's offering me $55.00.
Jarvis weren't you the one that posted the bit about "Why the hel* would anyone ever think about collecting repop globes and displaying them on their shelves?" (I'm paraphrasing here).
Now you got KMANN on your side so me and Doc challenge you two to thumb wrestling so we can settle this thing right now!

You know I hate to jump in the middle of this repro mess but since I don't have deep pockets like the guys that collect the original globes I also like the repros as I can afford them. I have 5 or 6 originals including 2 different Frontier globes that I have bought over the years for a good deal but with the prices of originals I will stay with the repros. And if they break I'm not out a lot of money either and we all know that broken globes have been a common occurrence latley. Don

Okay Jarvis, that's three against two, you better line up someone else for your team.
So far it's the "Repop Boys", Doc, Poor Man and gaspumpman
versus
"Originals Only", Jarvis and KMANN, you guys better get Bob on your team!

Poorman, Your funny... I don't know what i say from day to day. LOL All i know is why would someone want to collect repop globes and display them on a shelf. example: I am looking for a 1966 or 1967 Nova... hope a SS car but anyway... if i had to put over half the car back together with aftermarket parts that would bother me but at least it would be an original car to start with but if i was to by a 1966 nova that was all repo then i would rather not have it. I can understand a guy buying a single original Richfield hi-octane globe and maybe putting a repop on the back as a filler but to just collect repop globes... doesn't make sence to me.
Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.
