Recently at the shows I hear how its not like it used to be. Finding pumps, globes and signs for bargain prices is not unheard of but does take some luck and persitance.
So what is your best deal or deals in 2008?

I got a couple nice items this year so far, got a National A-38 and this oil cart. I already had the two Opaline signs for it. The pump and cart were in other peoples collections. My dad got a very nice sign that untill recently, was not in a collection.

This is my favorite purchase for the year... I know a LOT of people have this credit card sign but I think the Dino portion of the sign makes it a fairly rare find (especially in such GREAT condition...) Our best buy of the year has to be this original American Gasoline eagle lens. My dad found it for us in a small-town antique shop, and it was a steal! Wes [This message has been edited by thermactor (edited 09-17-2008).]

No body was watching this on ebay last month and I was able to pick this up for less than $100.00 including shipping. Best buy of a air meter I ever had. This is a factory picture of the unit, I would picture it but it is being restored to work at the present time. This is a tough sign to find in good condition. I had been looking for years only to find a few rough ones. A local collector had this Bardahl Outboard flange sign and I was blessed to get it and see his collection. It is marked "3-58" ------------------ Jim "Oldgas" PottsYour host and moderator

This isn't that outstanding but it's my favorite so far,and now that I have it painted I'm excited about it.I'll post pics as soon as I finish the pump.I've wanted a 62 or 360 top for along time,so when I found this with good orginal ad glass I has happy to buy it. Joe
