I was always hoping that I'd score something BIG that would be worth bragging about and here it is!!
Steve Jenson fro Oslo, Minnesota was here today and picked up a couple of gas pumps from me and brought this clock along to do some horse trading with!
This is a 1947 NOS neon clock made by Neon Products Inc of Lima, Ohio and it was originally purchased by the original Cities Service gas station in Oslo but was never used! It still has the original box it came in (dated) and the clock is dated on the inside also. Steve actually scored 2 neon clocks from the decendants of the stations original owner and had a tough time deciding which one to trade to me.
This was a spectacular find for Steve and I feel lucky that he decided I was worthy enough to trade it to. Its something that I will truly enjoy for a long time and I want to thank Steve for parting with it. I hope all you old gassers enjoy it as much as I do!!

Sandman--Everything works like it was brand new. The neon keeps terrific light with no flicker, the time adjuster knob works great and I've got it plugged in for an overnite test on accuracy! Very,Very quiet clock too! I'm really cheese'd.
When the wife got home from work, I told her that Steve said I should hang it in the house above the TV and that way, I'd have something nice to look at if the TV was boring! She replied that I should ask Steve as to how much my room rent would be if I did that because thats where I would be living if I hung it in the living room! LOL
All jokes aside, she really likes it too---now where to hang it?????

I'm glad to see an original gas station clock in such killer shape that HASNT been restored or "converted" to a gas station clock.

That is a museum quality piece.

I turned the neon off and left it run all night to test the accuracy and it was right on the money this morning! I'll actually have to straighten up my office here in the house so that I have a decent place to display it! Want to make sure that it'll be safe from bumps or any kind of collision too!
I think you're right Mark, its in such nice shape, it would qualify as a museum piece! I'm trying to get an old photo of the station that it came from. That would REALLY be cool!
Thanks to everyone for the compliments!

The best place I can think to hang it would be right here in my house. That is a VERY nice piece!
