Hello fellow petro nuts. I attended an auction this weekend in Farmingtion NM where there were several great finds but the prices were very strong. I have heard a few people saying the prices of pumps were overated in Jacks books but if they would have attended this auction they would change their mind. Below are a few of the highlights and low lights:

Butch Greer was able to get this awesome sign home. He made me promise not to say what he spent for the sign but it was not cheap!
Mobil Keyhole $850

Fry 5 Spay Paint Restoration $2700 the wayne 615 cracked cylinder again with the bomb can resto $2400
Here is an awesome original pump
No way I would restore that one it is beatiful. $7k with the orignal glass Other pumps:
The erie went for $2200 and was BEATIFUL but the others were rough for $700 each. Oh yeah these followed me home. I really need tops for the two eries. Any leads would be great. Now I just need to decide which if any I need to keep!

NEAT photos Scootdog...thanks much for posting these!!! Really appreciated!!!

The Pure visible looks to be a G&B 176...2400 is kind of pricey with a cracked cylinder and spray can paint job but if the new owner is happy what the heck!! I'm sure five years from now you'll be kickin' yourself for not buying it when we see what even worse pumps are bringing...

Rex,
It's a TOTALIZER, for the station owner. The biggest drawback to them was he had to use a ladder to read tyhe numbers. Pretty rare piece.

Thanks Scoot. is that you in the mickey shirt. ol butch , I told you that sign would go high ,I thought it would go higher, there a guy up here byme that has the white one , in mint condition and he wants 10,000.00. and he won't come down . I had butch up here two years ago , and he tried but the guy said nope 10,000.00. so butch got a good deal , theres not many of them around, good report scoot. you did yourself proud.

The Roman brought 7k and was awesome! It had brilliant blue glass and was painted silver with a skelly globe.

Rob- You were right on staying at home. The auctioneer was a real jerk. His sound system did not work for the first 1/2 hour then he proceeded to lecture everyone on what they should pay for the items and what not. I had to leave after 8 hours and they were not even half done. slooooow! Cool stuff bad auctioneer and very high prices.
