I finaly got finished putting up the ceiling in my sign room. It came out pretty good, had to drop it once for the gas pipes and then again for the heating ducts. I still need to swap out one light fixture and reattach the smoke detector. Didn't even break anything yet.

Then I decided to build a pump island to display the pumps. It raised them up off the ground about 4 inches, sort of like if they were at an actual gas station. First I built a 2x4 frame;

Covered it with left over tounge and groove pine;

Two coats of paint;

Pumps up on display;

I made the island in two parts because I have a section of the wall that can be easliy removed to get large objects into the room behind this one that will not fit through the other door. Now if I need to replace the fridge in the back room, I only need to move one pump.

Very nice. I broke a sweat just thinking how much work went into all that.

Thanks for the comments. Now I need to decide what to put down on the floor and clean it all up. I like the look of ceramic tiles but that would be a lot of work. Plus I want something that will not get buggered up to easy by moving a pump or something heavy across it.

Looks Great!!!!!!! I would recomend U-coat it 2 part Apoxy floor coating or Rust-oleum makes a two part floor apoxy with the paint flecks I did this in my Garage and it looks great. The U-coat it is alot more expensive than the Rust Oleum kit but it is alot more glossy. Keep up the nice work!!!!!

Thought you might like to see what my buddy did for one of his customers. Started out as a dirty old basement floor.
