This is the last globe I'll post. A very rare Sinclair Oils 15 inch metal. I do have several others I did not post which some people have never seen. I am not here to brag yet instead hoping these photos encourage others to keep collecting. Scott Benjamin.

More great globes. I don't think anyone takes this as bragging. Globe of the month is to show as many different globes from the featured company as we can.
I chose Sinclair for the featured company this month because of the wide variety of globes and types of globes they used.
We've seen a couple different types of one piece, decaled, metal body, regular 3 piece glass, hull and gill glass, and capco versions.
Sinclair experimented with decals in the 1930's. They used both one piece globes, and bodies for 3 piece globes with decals.
As you can see by the previous posts Sinclair wasn't afraid to update their image. Thats why there are so many versions of Power X, Kerosene, etc. The H-C logo was probably used for the longest time. Thats why you see it on so many types of bodies. Anyone have the other versions of US Motor Spec, Pennant, H-C, etc that you can post? It doesn't matter if they're common or rare, we want to see them all!
Thanks again Scott for the great pictures. Bob

Great globes Scott, thanks for sharing the pix.
Did Sinclair ever use a perforated metal panel as lenses?

I guess I decided to do one more photo. This looks like the common Power-X The Super Fuel yet I've never seen another. The insert is made of plastic! I could imagine a Dino plastic insert but not the older power-X. Anyone seen any other plastic Sinclair inserts? Scott Benjamin

Great globes Scott. I was hoping someone would post some one piece varities. The early "striped" versions knock me out. Thanks for sharing these wonderful pieces.

Scott, That plastic lens Power X sure has me wondering. My first thought was the manufacturer had just completed a run of plastic lenses for another company and painted this one Sinclair colors without realizing they were plastic lenses. Then I came to the same conclusion you did. This was way too early.
If they experimented with this globe and it survived, why didn't they use more of them? If they did, where are they?
If they experimented with plastic lenses in one area, wouldn't you think they would have tried it in different climates to see how they held up? Again, if they did, where are they?
One things for certain, I'm going to check every Power X globe I see at the shows from now on.
Thanks for posting this interesting globe. Bob

Scott, I have to agree ... your not bragging! I love to see all the varieties that Sinclair offered and I am glad they are here for the rest of us to see. I hope the up and coming months globes are as good as this month has been. WOW
Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

I want to thank everyone that has posted Sinclair globes so far. There are alot more Sinclair globes that haven't been pictured though. Even if the only difference is the type of body the lenses are mounted on, we'd like to see them.
Lets see some plastic body H-C, the other versions of the Pennant and US Motor Spec, Marine, and of course some more one piece Sinclair globes! Anyone have a "?" decaled globe they can post? How about the other versions of Sinclair Ethyl globes? Bob

Hey Hubba, Thanks for checking in. We have some fun things planned for globe of the month. Maybe in a few months we can find a way to get that new globe of yours posted. (Hubba and I are old friends. He recently bought his first globe) Bob
