Here's a wide body Tri-State Ethyl globe sent in by Gary Drye. Note it has the newer Ethyl Corporation logo. Gary's globe dates from the 1946-60 era.

Thanks Gary!

Here's something you don't see every day. The globe on the left is hand painted. It's either a prototype, or an attendant had way too much free time. Either way, its a cool globe!

The Ashland Go-Mix dates from 60's.

Thanks to Jeff T. for submitting these globes.

We've had a pretty good response so far this month. I want to thank all those that submit pictures of their globes.
I've got a few more pictures to post, but we've only shown a small portion of the globes used by Ashland and it many affiliates.
Does anyone have a Frontier Double Refined globe, or a Valvoline globe they can send me a picture of? How about and IQS or Freedom globe? We haven't seen any Rotary (Southern Oil) globes, or National White Rose or Royal globes.
Thanks again to all that support Globe Of The Month. Keep those globe pictures coming in!
Bob

Here are 3 Tresler globes. This Kerosene globe has been attributed to Tresler.
The TC Regular and the Supremium are from the 1964-70 era.

Thanks Rex!

Here are some more of Rex Benson's globes.
The White Pepper dates from 1928-35, and the Ashland A Plus was used from '60-'68.
A big thanks to Rex for sharing pictures of his globes!

Here are three more from Rex.
The Aetna A Plus was used in 1960-61 and the two Aetna globes were from the 50's.

The reason we do these features is so everyone has a chance to learn more about our hobby. I think any serious collector tries to learn as much as possible about the items they collect.
I've gotten some emails from people that didn't have any idea that Ashland had bought out so many companies. Many people equate Ashland with the Flying Octanes globes only.

We've seen some pretty cool stuff this month. How about Aaron's and Lonnie's Minamax globe? That was one I'd never seen before. How about the one off hand painted Ashland Go-Mix that Jeff submitted. You won't find those globes in any collector guide. Anyone that collects a single brand can really appreciate Rex's collection.

I want to thank all those that support GOTM by submitting pictures of their globes. I also want to thank those that don't have any globes to post, but send emails of support.

If anyone has any globes from the featured companies that we haven't seen yet, email them to me and I'll get them posted.
Bob

I finally got a picture of an IQS globe. This one was offered at Peotone.

A new Globe Of The Month feature will start on the 15th, its not too late to get those globe pictures in from this months featured companies.

Bob, I have tried e-mailing you several times and it keeps coming back "undeliverable". Any idea what's going on? Any idea for a solution?
THANKS!
