Im restoring a Tokheim 39 and I am curious what people use to paint the nozzle hanger/lever that the nozzle hangs on? It looks like it may have been plated with a silver substance originally? Is there a paint that can look close?

The stamped steel on/off lever was indeed plated and that's what looks the best on a restored pump.
However I have seen parts that were powder coated with a chrome powder and I think it looks better than the ol Hammertone job.
You can buy base coat clear coat chrome but it's cheaper to just have the part plated the proper way.
