What should the trade mark look like on the 6' Texaco sign?
The sign does not have a date on it.
Thanks

REG T.M. or a Circle R.

Is the circle R from 1959 on?

Generally speaking, yes. However, I'm not sure when Texaco switched trademark symbols on the 72" sign (the 59' revision of the Sky Chief pump plate has no trademark, as the 59' revision of the Fire Chief pump plate has a circle R. My 59' revision of the 8"x12" Diesel Chief sign has the REG T.M.).

It would depend on when the revision was made and published by Texaco. We're also assuming that there was 59' revision of the 72" Texaco sign.

Did Texaco ever make a 4 ft sign with the same logo as the 6 ft sign?

I'm not sure on the 4' version. I personally have never heard of one, however there are 5' versions which were used in Canada.
