I recently acquired a 6 foot diameter double sided porcelain Champlin sign. One side was completely covered with paint. I applied CitriStrip with a paint brush, waited about four hours, and used a plastic scraper to remove the paint. There were three layers of paint, including block lettering announcing a garage sale. After removing the paint, I used Bar Keepers Friend to clean off the remaining smudges of paint. Then, a little soap and water as a final rinse. Unfortunately, I don't have a 'before' photo, but here's what was underneath the paint.

Nice sign!! I need to find some Champlin signs since my great uncle owned and operated one for years. I love that!
