Can anyone post some pics of the internal workings of the Butler 30? Thanks!

Indicates a valve is open or closed, TO Car or TO Storage [tank].

Is the vertical rod(the one that opens and closes the valve in the jar base) that is inside the pump supposed to be attached/connected somehow to that pendulum? Is there something that would have held that "TO" lever in place either to car or to tank?

I came across these images on the net. I must be missing that larger piece that may have a handle on it to extend outside of the skins?

Sorry Dave, I have one and I've just been too busy to help but I'm going out right now and do this for you because I had intended to and just haven't gotten it done!

First picture shows the complete assembly in place. The shaft with the weight and indicators on it, prevent the flat piece from lifting the rod assembly unless the indicator is placed in the "to car" position. Otherwise it simply hangs down and prevents the flat channel part from rising when the lever is pulled down from outside the skins. That lever is rather short, just as pictured and protrudes thru the skins.
Second picture is a closeup of the indicator assembly and the spring loaded shaft.
Third picture shows me moving the weight back and out of the way in order to be able to pull the outer lever down.
Hope this helps.---KEVIN

Thanks so much for going that Kevin! That's more complex then I thought it was going to be, but I understand how it works. You don't by chance have another that I could rent so I could copy it do you? Dave

I don't but I'm still trying to buy a complete pump thats near here and if I get it bought, I could loan you the parts. Its pretty much all the parts you had originally posted before they got removed. Maybe something will show up at Iowa Gas?

I appreciate that, Kevin! I'm, not able to go to IG, but if anybody spots one of these, I'd gladly pay you for your troubles to get it for me. Dave
