This looks like its painted metal. I always thought they were porcelain. Ever see a non porcelain one?

I'd guess 99.9% thats porcelain , for example look at how the porcelain above the "N" and "L" in Sinclair seemed to fractured off around the edges of the rust(can't think of a better term) and how the rust is eating into the "N" because it looks like the porcelain is crazied.(think thats the word for it)I would think if it were painted the red would have been even more faded off. Because we all know red pigment does not do well in sunlight.
