I have used Whink with great success on some tough rust stains on porcelain. Be careful! This is some potent stuff. It will almost disolve the rust away immediately. You can't let it sit long and you must wear rubber gloves. I use 0000 steel wool and dish detergent on all my signs and Whink only for the tough stains.
