It's no good. I have seen this globe in person. At one time it was in displayed in "The Spudder" steakhouse in Tulsa, OK.

It is painted, not etched or baked but painted. The paint is in excellent condition, probably done in the last 10 years and the globe has never seen weather. My speculation is that it was/is a street lamp globe that someone painted in Pierce Pennant. About 3-4 years ago they priced the globe to me for around 2k.....for me there was no doubt that it is not an old and authentic Pierce Pennant globe.

I would also add that a local collector who is extremely advanced and a pioneer of the hobby also passed on the globe.


Collect small Oklahoma Oil Co.'s 1920's-1940's. Barnsdall, Cushing, Eason, Marland, etc.
