I seen this old thread and was curious.Can you relid a can and put motor oil in it again Don?
Most cans needing new lids attached have had the originals removed w/ a Can Opener & that leaves Tell Tale marks. Re-Filling these cans is NOT Recommended [BUT CAN BE DONE & I will only refill
IF I remove the oil before removing a Dent in a full can. Using oil that was not removed from can is Fraud [replacing Mobil Oil w/ Pennzoil in a Mobil Can].
I Reseal new lids on like they were done originally [Rolled sealed just as Food cans are still done today].
