On Google Maps there are a couple of pictures, including one at night:
White Rose sign at night I may have to search this out when I'm in Des Moines for Christmas.
In hunting for it on "Street View", I noticed that all the power pole bases were painted white. This is on the old "White Pole Road", which was the name for the highway before they started using the state numbering system. US Highway 6, which it became, parallels I-80 and for a stretch west of Des Moines they have the poles painted like they would have in the early 20th century.
