I have quite a few D-X Oil memorabilia items. More into the specifics related to my dad's old business as opposed to general oil item collecting. Dad had a filling station in Strawberry Point, Iowa in the '40s and after the war had a bulkplant and fuel delivery business in Manchester, Iowa till he retired.

And, oh yeah, don't I wish all of those old porcelain signs from the logo change from red/black/tan to red/white/blue hadn't just been tossed as "old stuff"! It was the late 1950's and new was cool and old was just junk.

Did hang onto the old globes when a lot of the old station pumps ended up as pumps at farm customers. Farm pumps did not need lighted globes. I remember painting a lot of pumps being repurposed to farms. Still have four D-X and a couple Sinclar Dinos globes. Had several Standard crowns but sold them. They were the competition back in the day. smile

I'll post some pics in the general forum.
