Does anyone have a good way of removing the red paint from the letters in a Shell globe. Most of mine has faded away but the remaining red does not come off. I tried priming over the red but when you light up the globe the old paint has a darker silhouette than just the primed areas of the letters. I used a light gray primer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
