This is a 10" X 10" single-sided porcelain pump sign in nearly mint condition front and back. Excellent color and grommets are in good shape. Slight slight rust spots as noted on photos. Purchased this about 30 years ago at a gun show in Portland, Oregon. Weighs 1 pound 3.1 oz.
Randy Jones (goes by the handle "Advertologist") is a veteran Old Gas member from Southern California and he says this is "The Real McCoy" and not a reproduction (He has one in almost in as good condition). Reproductions show flat-topped letters (G, S, and O). A sign identical to this one sold in 2016 on Mecum Auctions for $600 as part of a large collection. It was estimated to go for between $600 and $1,200. Here is the link to the sale: https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0116-234159/flying-a-gasoline-gas-pp/ I have verified the final sale price of $600 at Mecum and feel that this sign is in slightly better condition and has had three more years of appreciation, therefore asking $850 plus shipping or will deliver in Tucson/Phoenix area.
