Jobbers and station owners did not always follow what the oil companies wanted. I have a Wayne 40 that was Shell from day one. From the factory it was Shell yellow-orange with a red top and base. It was missing the doors when I got it but suspect it was Green Streak because during one of its repaints the visi and base were green.
