Another method can be to hang from the grid of a suspended ceiling. Note the clips snapped into the ceiling grid. A light floral wire holds the sign.

The sign is a salvaged section of a broken back-lighted lexan sign. I plan on building a lighted can for it someday, but for now it will hang like this.
